More to come from… but speaking of Arne Duncan, CCSS and testing

Expect more insights to come with Diane Ravitch’s new book, Reign of Error. Arne Duncan’s machinations must be substantially updated considering how damaging he and his leadership have been to public education in the previous three years since Ravitch’s last book.

Arne Duncan was in charge of Chicago Public Schools for the years which are now pointed to as years of abject failure; that was when high stakes testing scores were plunging. Now 50 Chicago public schools, “failing schools,” were closed based on Arne Duncan’s leadership of Race to the Top, the Common Core State Standards and those tests. How can schools be deemed failures that have followed his lead? He continues his expensive, profitable and damaging plans on all American schools – and all the children in them – in every state. How does he expect instant success by following his plans that have damaged so much? Why do people repeat his nonsense as gospel? Isn’t it time for us all to fight back?

Reign of Error: The Hoax of the Privatization Movement and the Danger to America’s Public Schools is due for release on September 17, 2013. Advance order from Amazon HERE.

Once we are armed with truth and data, the destruction of high stakes testing, Common Core State Standards and the privatization scam will be inevitable.
